Creativity is in the air this season. Quite a few folks around town have created something new and would like to share it with folks outside of Atopia. They’re shouting about them in the town square.
Adam Bell (of My Brain is a Stick of Butter and Uneasy Lies the Head fame) has cooked up a Investigation RPG Boardgame hybrid: The Locked Room Murder Mystery Game.

Hinokodo (of MIRU fame) has cooked up a new simulation of Domino Magic and Adventure: PONDUS an analog wizard game.

Allen Hall (of In Ruins and Endling fame) has cooked up a new Orb Hunting solo Journaling RPG: Wizard Mind Palace.

Ben at Forsight Studios (of The Cross Stitch fame) cooked up a tarot and divinity TTRPG: The Firmament.

A few Atopians have just finished their campaigns, but it’s never too late to get in on such cool projects.
Ethan Yen and Kelly Tran created Fetch My Blade
Gene Koo designed Color Jam: A Print-and-puzzle coloring game
Vending Machines carry more than sodas and snacks now.
Cary stops over at the local brewery and sees Alex setting up a new vending machine with games.
He says their top 5 selling games of September from vending machines at breweries in California are:
- Bicycle Playing Cards
- UNO
- Flip 7
- Flip 7: With a Vengeance
- Catan on the Road
This sure does suggest folks are itching for some fun small card games when they go out for drinks.
Alex also says a new machine is opening up at The Brews Hall in Torrance, CA soon! Will be sure to keep our eyes on that.
Pax Unplugged is happening soon!
Pax Unplugged is happening December 4-6 in Philadelphia, PA and the “TTRPG Self-Publisher meetup” is scheduled for Sunday (12/6) from noon to 1pm in the Community Room and is hosted by an Atopian, Exeunt Press!
A number of Atopians will be in and around the event and we’d love to meet you!
Gaming conventions are fantastic places to meet up with old friends, play a few games, and discover the new creations in our world. I have big eyes set for the Indie Games Night Market on Saturday (12/5) from 7-10pm.
Our friends Asterisk Games will be there at booth 3557 and our very own M Allen Hall will be at booth 4301. You’ll also be able to find many atopian creations at the Indie Press Revolution booth (3701). Hope to see you there!
Oh my look at the time, I’ll need to head back to the office to write up a report on all these findings. I’ll see you in the next post.
Question of the Day:
If you could get 4 Orbs of Power together, what would your grand wish be?
