Hello neighbor! You’re reading the Good News from Atopia
// presented by Mimic Publishing //
This is a weekly newsletter where I, Cary the Globe, walk around town and report on the happenings of Atopia, a special place on the internet where talented creatives come together and share their works and knowledge.

Today’s News? :
- MIRU 3 / Hex Kit fulfillment moves along
- A new game store opens up in the neighborhood!
- Folks gather at the Unpub convention
MIRU 3 Fulfillment
Orders continue to come in, but of the 1000+ orders from the Kickstarter and website, Hinokodo has shipped 600 orders from his living room since mid January! There is currently about 400 orders left in the queue. He averages about 25 orders, packed and shipped, a day at the moment.

He tells me they’ve recently hired a new shipping manager, but it’s too soon to see if she will be helpful in improving the warehouse’s efficiencies.
He says the 400 left roughly break down like so:
- 85 include vertical Miru 3 (which is still in production, likely going to print end of march at the moment)
- 45 include CD & MiniDisc MIRU soundtracks (which just landed yesterday and should start going out soon)
- The remaining are from 2026, international, or have some interesting item combinations.
At his current rate, it seems he’ll catch up on most orders by early April. We wish him well. Let’s continue our walk around the neighborhood!
Tom opened a game store in Milwaukee!

Our wonderful neighbor Tom has opened a physical location in Milwaukee. Tabletop Bookshelf now exists in meat space! Grand opening is March 21, 2026, if you’re in the area I recommend you check it out.

Tabletop Bookshelf has been the home of many games made by the Atopia crew. Just to name a few:
Glatisant by Graftbound Press
Moon Rings by Junk Food Games
Grasping Nettles by Adam Bell
Whispers in the Walls by Pandion Games
Home by Deep Dark Games
MIRU by Mimic Publishing
And so many more. If you’re looking for a rad place to play games (He has 4 very fancy tables) and plenty of gaming options, you will want to check out the new store! While the website specialized in ttrpgs, it seems the store will expand on that with novels and board games! Exciting times, Atopians wish him well.
It’s Unpub weekend!
If you like playing games in their early stages and meeting the fantastic folks who make them, this is the convention you should check out. There are a few Atopians showing off their games and giving talks at the convention, you don’t want to miss what they’re showing off.
Sticky Doodler and Chris from Junk Food Games are on a panel discussing the local tabletop economy.
Chris is also playtesting a game called Splinters.
Exeunt Press is playtesting his upcoming games: Ratsail and Exclusion Zone Botanist: Epsilon.

Unpub Fest 2026 goes from March 12-15 in Baltimore, Maryland.
A few highlights I saw around town before closing us out for the week:
Emily at Odds & Ents has made a cool asset/texture pack of found paper goods.
Alex at Vending Machine Games has established another Vending machine full of games at Santa Monica Brew Works in California! How fun!

Question of the week:
Hinokodo is considering an alternative to Kickstarter for his next project and he’s wondering…
Tell us in the comments below if you’ve participated in an itchfund and how you felt about the experience!
Thanks for reading the report! I’ll be back next week to tell you all about the things I saw around Atopia.
